Morning Thoughts – Neighbors

Neighbors

Do you know your neighbors? When I was a child, we knew all
of our neighbors. Our parents sat in the front yard after dinner,
drinking ice tea. Our neighbors would come over or we would
go to their house to visit. All the kids would play softball, red
rover, or hide and seek until it got too dark to play. Our neighbors
knew us and we knew them. We loved our neighbors. In this day
and age, we have lost that kind of knowing and loving our neighbors.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Moses wrote, “You shall not take revenge
or bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love
your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:18 AMP

Today, step out of your yard and get to know your neighbor. You will
be glad you did.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.
