Morning Thoughts – Given Grace

Given Grace

What is Grace?  In Christian terms, Webster defines Grace as “the free

and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners

and the bestowal of blessings.”  Unmerited favor – Wow that just about

says it all.   We are given salvation and we didn’t have to do anything

but just receive it.  Can’t beat that – anyway you look at it.

Timothy records, “He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not

because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and

grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ

Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to

light through the gospel.” 2 Timothy 1:9-10 (NIV)

Today, think about the Grace you have been given.
