Abide (Part 5)

Abide (Part 5)

In the Greek, to abide is to remain, live in, wait for.  When we abide in Jesus, our lives reflect Jesus living in us; we get to know Him better by studying His word; we are led by His Holy Spirit; we share His Love with others and we don’t dwell in darkness; but live in the light of Christ’s presence. John recorded, “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. (John 12:46)  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7).  He waits for you – He longs for you – He LOVES YOU.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”  John 15:4 (KJV)

Today, abide in Jesus and reap the benefits He provides.
