Advocate

An advocate is “a person who publicly supports or recommends a particular cause or policy.”  What do you support? There are many causes both just and unjust; however, where do you put your support?  Do you support your church or perhaps ministries that reach out in times of need.  When we get to heaven we will all need an advocate.  For those who have surrendered their lives to Christ, He will be your advocate with the Father.  For those who have not accepted Christ’s sacrifice, you will have no advocate.  What will be your defense and who will plead your cause?

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. (NKJV)
