Alone

Alone

Do you remember when you were a child and did the dishes?  Most often there was a pot or pan that was particularly difficult to clean with either burned or dried food stuck to it.  Dread set in when that pan was all that was left to clean; but, then Mom would step in and say “I’ll clean that pan for you.”  Relief of unimaginable proportions!  That is what God has done for us.  After the fall in the garden of Eden, we needed to be cleansed from our sins.  God stepped into time and space and did the hard work of cleansing and reconciling us to Himself.  Now all that is necessary is for us to confess our sinful condition and ask for Him to forgive and save us and be the Lord of our lives.  You alone can make this decision.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. . . But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)” Ephesians 2:1-2,4,5 (NLT)

Today – (For He says, “At the acceptable time (the time of grace) I listened to youAnd I helped you on the day of salvation.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation”) 2 Corinthians 6:2 (AMP)
