Anxiety

Anxiety

Anxiety is “a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome” and affects approximately 1.5 percent of the U.S. population age 18 and older in a given year. (about 3.3 million American adults).”  Jesus said, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”  Everyone gets anxious; it is what we do when we are anxious that makes a difference.  Scarlet O’Hara in that famous line said, “I can’t think about that today; I’ll think about that tomorrow.”  While that is one way of dealing with difficult circumstances, the best way is to receive the peace of Jesus into your situation.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John recorded Jesus when He said, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”  John 14:26,27 (NKJV)

Today, give your worries and anxiety to Jesus.  He loves you so much.

Jesus is coming soon – for all, believers and non-believers alike.  It is the reception each will receive that will make the difference for all eternity.  What will be your reception?
