Distress

Distress

What do you do when you are distressed – wring your hands, curse, scream, pull your hair or maybe throw your hands up and give up?  The Psalmist had a better solution – he called upon the Lord and guess what the Lord answered him; set him in a wide place; and he was no longer fearful of what man could do to him.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote,  “I called on the Lord in distress; The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”  Psalm 118:5-6 (NKJV)

Today, no matter your distress, call upon the Lord.  He will hear and answer you.
