Peace

Peace

Who doesn’t want peace – world peace, peace with family and
neighbors; but most importantly, who doesn’t want personal
peace?  It is that personal peace that we seek the most; because
it is necessary to eliminate anxiety.  So where do we get that
kind of peace?  Paul in the close of his letter to the Ephesians
tells us where this much desired peace originates.  First we must
know God the father and the Lord Jesus Christ.  We must belong
to Him.  Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be
troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27 NIV)

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Peace to the brothers and
sisters, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus
Christ.”  Ephesians 6:23 (NIV)

Today, if you belong to Jesus, let the peace of Jesus be poured out
to you.  If you have never given your heart to Jesus, do it today and
receive His peace.
