Benefits

The benefits of the Lord are too numerous to count; however, the Psalmist gives us a short list that encompasses life’s issues – sin, sickness, destruction and then He gives us His lovingkindness, mercies, good things and renews our strength.  Is there anything in that list you don’t need?  God knows your needs and He provides even before you know you need it.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Matthew wrote, ” Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!  Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:  Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.  Psalm 103;1-5 (NKJV)
