Called and Chosen

I watched the World Series and saw all of those young men who had been chosen to play ball put forth maximum effort.  Did you know you are chosen by God and He has called you out of the darkness of the world and into His marvelous light?    

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Peter wrote, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”  1 Peter 2:9 (NAS)
