Choking
Have you ever been choking and/or seen someone choking? Did someone try to help you and/or did you try to help them? We see a lot of people choking everyday from worries, deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things. Those things choke God’s Word and keep it from being fruitful in our lives.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Mark wrote, “Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.” Mark 4:18, 19 (NIV)
Today, examine what is keeping you from God’s word and ask God to help you overcome.
