Church Featured on Historical Society Tour

Lighthouse Fellowship of Friends Church sits on property that has housed a church building since 1901. The first Methodist church on this site was a frame building which burned in 1933. The present building, completed in 1936, that serves as the Lighthouse Fellowship sanctuary was purchased by League City Friends in 1960 and extensively remodeled. The facility has been altered and added to several times and beautifully refurbished last year by our congregation. Saturday, December 10 from 10am to 4 pm it will be shown to the community in conjunction with the League City Historical Society’s annual tour of historical buildings. Our church along with several other homes and buildings will be on the tour. Check out the historical society’s website for more information.
