Deceived

Does a deceived person know they are deceived? If they did know, most likely they would not be deceived. Jesus warned, “For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”  Paul said to “mark those who cause division and offenses contrary to the doctrine which they had learned. Christ said, “And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” We cannot separate our relationship with Christ from our daily life.  He is our life and as such must be a part of each aspect of our life. John wrote, “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.” We are to use God’s word to measure the truth of what we hear, see and believe.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. Romans 16:17-18 (KJV)

Today, stay in Gods word and be not deceived by the cunning craftiness of men, “who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.”
