Escape

When Adam and Eve sinned and were cast from the Garden, God was providing them a way to escape from an eternal life of sin.  Had they eaten from the tree of life, they would forever have remained in their sinful state; but God by casting them from the garden, made a way of escape for them as well as all of their descendants, which includes you and me.  In all of our lives, we face temptations that would lead us down the path of destruction. However, with the temptations of life, our God has made a way to escape so that we can bear it.  Because of God’s love for us, He provided Jesus as our eternal means of escaping from our sin so we can  live with Him for all eternity.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”  1 Corinthians 10:13  (KJV)

Today, no matter what you are experiencing, God has provided a way of escape; but more importantly, look to Jesus who has provided your escape from sin and death.
