Faith – How Do We Receive It?

As previously discussed, Faith comes by hearing God’s word. So what prevents a person from receiving faith?  Sometimes a person will hear the voice of God speaking to him/her; but, then refuse to turn to Him.  Their hearts become hardened.  Also, Jesus said, “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (JOHN 6:44)  If you have a loved one who has not come to Jesus, pray that the Father would draw them to him and that they will receive His word and not harden their hearts.   The time is NOW.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Hebrews records, “But now is the time. Never forget the warning, “Today if you hear God’s voice speaking to you, do not harden your hearts against him, as the people of Israel did when they rebelled against him in the desert.”  Hebrews 3:15 (TLB)
