Faith – Why it’s important!

We have faith that a steel ship will float and a steel airplane will fly and think nothing about getting on either of them for transportation; but the most important reason for faith is found in scripture. In the King James version of the Bible the word “faith” is found 280 times in the New Testament and 56 times in the Old Testament.  In the book of Hebrews, a  whole chapter is devoted to the people of faith from the Old Testament.  These people of faith acted on their faith to believe for impossible situations to be rectified. This same chapter of Hebrews has a verse that tells us why faith is important.    

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Hebrews records, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
