Family

Family

What does the word “family” mean to you.  Is it just someone who is
a blood relative, born into your life?  Or, is it someone who is or has
become a part of your life?  In Christ it is both.  When we give our lives
to Christ and are born into His family, we become a member of God’s
family and thus a part of a much larger family than our physical earthly
family.  Just as our earthly family is or should be nurturing, loving and
caring, so also is our family of God, with whom we will spend eternity.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “It is through Christ that all of us,
Jews and Gentiles, are able to come in the one Spirit into the presence of
the Father.  So then, you Gentiles are not foreigners or strangers any
longer; you are now citizens together with God’s people and members of
the family of God.”  Ephesians 2:18-19 (GNT)

Today, get in touch with the family of God and get to know the love of
the Father through them.
