Fear

Fear

What do you fear? One of the most fearful words anyone will ever hear is cancer.  As many of you know I was treated for cancer last year.  The word was fearful for me; but having gone through the treatment and come our on the other side, I can tell you the Love of God sustained me through the prayers of His children.  There were times when I could only say “Jesus help me Jesus.”  During that time it was so comforting to know that I had people praying for me.  The fear melted into gratitude for God’s sustaining love.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote, “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 (NKJV)

Today, fear not what you face; because there is nothing that has happened to you ever that has not been filtered through the love of God.  Let Him love you through it.
