No Fear (Part 3)
When the Apostle John was on the Isle of Patmos, he encountered Jesus again; however, this encounter was different than when he knew Jesus as a younger man. Jesus said, unto John to “fear not.” Encountering Jesus is no reason to fear. Out of His great love for us, He willingly gave Himself to die in our place. While His death was important for our salvation, it was His resurrection that conquered death and hell for us allowing us to have eternal life with Him. Have you encountered Jesus? He says to each of us – “Fear Not.”
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote, “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” Revelation 1:17-18 (KJV)
