Finished

Finished

How do you feel when you finish a task or job?  I don’t know about you;
but, it usually feels really good.  When Jesus was on the cross, He said, “It
is finished.”  Because He finished His work on the cross, we are finished
with sin.  Now, does that mean we don’t sin?  Of course not, but, it does
mean we are finished with the penalty of sin.  Christ has set us free from
sin’s penalty.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Peter wrote, “He personally carried the load of
our sins in his own body when he died on the cross so that we can be
finished with sin and live a good life from now on. For his wounds have
healed ours!”  1 Peter 2:24 (TLB)

Today, give thanks for Christ’s finished work on the cross.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.
