Have you ever had someone say, “I can forgive; but I can’t forget.”  What a bunch of nonsense!  If you forgive someone of some egregious wrong, then you must forget what happened so you can move on and be healthy. Otherwise, if you hold on to the wrong, then it affects your health and you will be bound to that grudge, which colors your perspective of everything related to the wrong.  Let it go.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Be gentle and ready to forgive; never hold grudges. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.” Colossians 3:13 (TLB)

Today, forgive and forget.
