Instructions

When you make a purchase of most major appliances, toys, and even automobiles, do you read the instructions?  Most of the time we try to put things together without necessarily reading the instructions.  What a mess we make of things!  We have a book of instructions on how to live our lives.  Paul said, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”  2 Timothy 3:16  For the next few days God will help all of us to understand some of His instructions.

by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.  Abstain from all appearance of evil.  And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-23 (KJV)
