Know Love

How do we know what Love is?  We all have preconceived ideas of what love is. This preconception is most likely due to what we observed to have been demonstrated by our parents.  In the military, men and women are trained to leave no one behind.  In our Christian faith, we are commanded to love one another.  But, the way we know love is because of Jesus giving His life for us.  He demonstrated His love for us in that while we were yet sinners, He died to save us.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John wrote, “By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” 1 John 3:16 (NKJV)
