Love for God (Part 4)

Do you remember watching movies about the old west?  The military would build forts with walls to provide protection to not only the soldiers; but, also to any civilians living within the fort.  David said God was his fortress. A fortress is defined as a secured and strong place.  David was affirming God as his protector.  God is no respecter of  persons.  He is our fortress also.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit,  the Psalmist wrote, “I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Psalm 18:1-2
Today, run to God for protection.
