Morning Thoughts – Commanded

Commanded

To command is to give an authoritative order. When we work
for someone, we receive commands to do various things. Even
if you work for yourself, there are things you do because it keeps
your business running. Yet our Heavenly Father gave us only two
commands. We are commanded to Love Him with our whole heart
and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Without Him, we do not
know how to love.

Recorded by Matthew, Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord
your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your
mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is
like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 22:37-39 NKJV

Today, fulfill the two commands of God – Love Him with all your
heart and your neighbor as yourself.
