Memorial

Today we memorialize/remember the service of our military and
how they have defended and protected us from evil. God had the
Israelites create a memorial of stones to remind them how He
protected them while crossing the Jordan into the promised land.
He wanted their children to see the stones. Then their parents could
tell them the story of God’s defense and deliverance from every
calamity. God still defends and delivers us.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Joshua recorded, “That this may be a
sign among you when your children ask in time to come, What do
these stones mean to you? Then you shall tell them that the waters
of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord;
when it passed over the Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off.
So these stones shall be to the Israelites a memorial forever.”
Joshua 4:6-7 (AMP)

Today, tell of God’s great defense and deliverance as we remember
our military who have given so much of themselves.
