Morning Thoughts – Overcome

Overcome

Part 2

In the book of Revelation, Jesus had no condemnation
of the church at Smyrna. They were undergoing
persecution and had been reduced to poverty and were
encouraged to endure suffering faithfully. Overcoming
indicates success in dealing with problems/sin. The first
step to overcoming is asking Jesus to forgive you of your
sins and then clinging to Him during the trials of life.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, John recorded Jesus when He
said, “He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed
what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). He who
overcomes (is victorious) shall in no way be injured by the
second death.” Revelation 2:11 (AMP) [The second death
is eternal destruction in the lake of fire reserved for all
unbelievers.]

Today, cling to Jesus during the trials of life. He will see you
through it all.
