Quiet Life

Quiet Life

Would you like to live a quiet and peaceful life? This may not be
something we want to hear; but according to Paul, we are first of
all urged to pray for all people including our leaders. While this
may not be something we want to do, think about the persecution
the early church was suffering at the hands of officials. Yet, Paul
said the way to have a quiet and peaceful life was to pray for all
people including the leaders.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote in his letter to Timothy, “[ A
Call to Prayer ] First of all, then, I urge that petitions (specific requests),
prayers, intercessions (prayers for others) and thanksgivings be offered
on behalf of all people, for kings and all who are in [positions of] high
authority, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness
and dignity. 2 Timothy 2:1-2 (AMP)

Today, take some time and pray for our leaders so we can all live quiet
and peaceful.
