Sound Words

When a carpenter is building/framing a house, he uses
a plumb line, which is a tool to ensure the walls are
perfectly straight. When we hear words of advice, we
need to know if that advice is sound. In order to know
if the words are sound, we have go to God’s word and
use it as our plumb line.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Timothy wrote, “Hold fast
the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me,
in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. That good thing
which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost
which dwelleth in us.” 2 Timothy 1:13-14 (KJV)

Today, get into God’s word and let Him guide you with
sound words.
