Morning Thoughts – Sowing
Sowing
In the Spring, farmers sow seed of various kinds and await the
harvest of what they have sown. Now if they want wheat, they
do not sow corn. They know that what they sow determines
the type of harvest. The same is true for all of us. If we sow
into our lives the things of this world and expect to reap eternal
rewards, we are mistaken. We will reap what we sow.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Don’t be misled; remember
that you can’t ignore God and get away with it: a man will always
reap just the kind of crop he sows! If he sows to please his own
wrong desires, he will be planting seeds of evil and he will surely
reap a harvest of spiritual decay and death; but if he plants the
good things of the Spirit, he will reap the everlasting life that the
Holy Spirit gives him.” Galatians 6:7-8 TLB
Today, examine what you are sowing and make the changes
necessary to reap eternal life.
