Peculiar

What does it mean to be peculiar?   We think of a peculiar person as being someone who is different or unusual, who stands out from others.  If you belong to Christ, then you are a peculiar person (different from the world.)  How does that happen?  It happens because you have been chosen by God to be His own possession.  You see, God bought and paid for you to belong to Him with the sacrifice of His own dear son, Jesus Christ.  As such, you now belong to Him and nothing you do, say or don’t do or say can ever separate you from His Love, Mercy, Grace or Peace.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Peter records, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;” 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)

Today, be confident of your condition as a child of God.  If you haven’t given your heart to God and accepted His redemption of you, it’s not too late.
