Pray (Part 3)

What does it mean to “Pray in the Spirit.”  In Christianity, there are certain topics that simply are not discussed – this seems to be one of them.  However, praying in the spirit is not some mystical, far out, or weird event.  Paul said, “So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.” (Romans 8:26 AMPC) In down to earth practice, when you pray, the Holy Spirit will give you the words to speak, perhaps names of people to pray for and then when you don’t know what to pray for, He will pray.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Joshua records, “Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).” Ephesians 6:18 (AMPC)

Today, persevere in prayer and believe!  Let Gods spirit pray through you.
