Shine

During the time of Christ, the Jewish people were captives of Rome.  The Roman rulers were crooked and perverse.  They cared little for the people they ruled.  They thought only of themselves.  Yet, Paul gave them advise that perhaps we should follow in our lives.  What are we to do in this crooked and perverse nation?  Paul said, we are to shine as lights in the world.  Lights that will show the world Christ  and we are to rejoice in the day of Christ.  Our labors are not in vain.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.” Philippians 2:14-16 (KJV)

Today, let your light shine for others to see Jesus in you.
