Sign of the Times

Sign of the Times

Do you ever stop and consider the state of our nation and world?  When I think about what is happening, I’m reminded of what Timothy said about perilous times.  The sign of the times are apparent to all who will look at them.  As a Christian, we must consider what all of these signs mean and be about our Father’s business of sharing the gospel with the lost.  The prophet Joel wrote, “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.” Joel 3:14 (KJV) Jesus said, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” John 34:35 (KJV)

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “But understand this, that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear]. For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate [greedy] desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contemptuous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffing), disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane.”  2 Timothy 3:1-2 (AMPC)

Today, consider the signs of the times and be about our Father’s business.  Pray for God to give you an opportunity to share your faith with a lost and hurting person.
