Sing

When I go outside, the birds are singing.  Their songs bring a lightness to my spirit.  No matter the heat, cold, rain or shine, they sing.  The Psalmist said, “Sing unto God.”  He didn’t say to sing only when things are going well or to sing when we feel like it.  Just like the birds, we are to sing regardless of our circumstances.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him. A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.” Psalm 68:4-5 (KJV)

Today, Sing unto God – it will lighten your spirit.
