Sowing and Reaping

Each year about this time I begin to thing about what I would like to harvest for summer canning and just good eating.  Although my thoughts are about the physical act of planting, today God wants us to think about what we want to reap from our lives.  In order to have a bountiful spiritual harvest, we have to sow spiritual actions.  What does that mean?  I believe it means we are to put more effort into reading, studying and acting upon God’s word.  You see, He has a plan for each of us; however, in order to know what those plans are, we have to seek Him, through His word and in prayer. 

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV)

Today,  seek God and fulfill His plan for your life.
