The Coming of the Lord

While we often think about the Apostle John as the one who strongly encouraged love for God and love for our brothers: however, Paul in his letter to the Thessalonians also had some encouraging words about loving others.

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 “And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

Paul said the Lord’s desire is for us to increase and abound in love one toward another that He may establish our hears as unblameable in holiness before God at the coming of our Lord Jesus. When Jesus returns, we are to be found loving our brothers and sisters in the faith as well as toward all people.  In today’s volatile climate around the country and world, there is so much anger, bitterness, and hatred. And yet, we are commissioned to love one another.  It is only the love of God through His children that can impact our world.  Where do we start?  Start where you are and let the love of God in you change your world.  It is through God’s Love in us that establishes us and prepares us for the coming of the Lord.

Today ask the Lord for an opportunity to demonstrate His Love someone you do not know and perhaps someone you do know.

If you have never received Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life, ask Him to come into your heart, forgive you of your sins and you will receive His new life.

Remember God Loves you and I Do Too.
