The Cross (Part 3)

The Cross (Part3)

The cross of Christ meant death for him.  Christ took all the sins of the world – past present and future and our diseases upon himself and died that we might have eternal life.  Can you imagine the agony and pain of all sin and all disease for all time; yet, Hebrews records, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”  Can we do less than give Him our lives?

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Mark wrote, “And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Mark 8:34 (KJV)

Today, think about your cross in relation to the cross of Christ.
