The Cross

The Cross

At this time of the year we look to the cross of Jesus.  We see various crosses appear throughout the area.  These crosses remind us of our Lord’s sacrifice.  As a believer, we place our eternal future on what Jesus did on the cross.  Before Jesus went to the cross, he told his disciples they must take up their cross and follow him.  What does that mean to take up “your cross?”    Over the next few days, we will look at the cross of Jesus and our cross.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Mark 8:34 (KJV)

Today, think about your cross in relation to the cross of Christ.
