The Power of God

Where is the Power of God?  The Power of God is in the preaching of the cross and the finished work of Christ on that old rugged blood stained cross.  Why should you care?  Because it is in the preaching of the Cross that lives are changed for all eternity.  The Cross of Christ made it possible for each and every person who has ever been born to be changed forever and receive forgiveness for sins.  It is the preaching of the Cross of Christ that sets us free to be all God wants us to be.  His primary purpose in sending His one and only begotten Son to die was to restore mankind’s relationship to Him.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”  1 Corinthians 1:18 (KJV)

Today, if you have trusted in the finished work of Christ on the Cross, give thanks.  If you have not yet trusted Christ, do it today.
