Do you ever think about the sense of touch? While researching God’s word about the hand of Jesus, I found hand to be mentioned 1417 times in God’s word, with various meanings. However, when you research hand in the New Testament, the hand and touch of Jesus is most often used to heal – the leper, the blind, and the sick to name a few. Although we cannot be physically touched by the hand of Jesus, He uses each of us to reach out and touch a hurting person to bring healing of body and spirit.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Mark wrote, “And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.” Mark 1:40-42 (KJV)
Today, let Jesus touch you to heal your hurts. He loves you so.
