Transformation

For something to be transformed, it must undergo a thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance. Paul exhorted the Roman Christians to not be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of their mind.  I am afraid we have all been conformed to the world on some level.  It is kind of like the leaven (sin) that Paul talked about when he said a little leaven leavens the whole lump.  Translation – A little sin corrupts the whole person. When we accept small sins into our lives, it leaves us open to an increase in conformation to this world of sin in which we live. So, how are we to be transformed?  Paul further said “be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” We renew our minds when we study God’s word and agree with what God says about sin.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2 (KJV)

Today, study God’s word and renew your mind to think as God’s word reveals His thoughts.  If you have never received Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life, ask Him to come into your heart, forgive you of your sins and you will receive His new life.
