Trouble/Trials

How do you deal with the troubles and trials of life?  Do you self medicate with drugs and/or alcohol?  When those self medications wear off, the trials and troubles may still be there and now you have a bigger problem.  Do you take the ostrich approach and bury your self in other activities and hope it goes away? As Christians, we are not exempt from trouble/trials of life.  As a matter of fact, Jesus said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”  (John 16:33) There is one sure thing to do that will bring peace to your troubled spirit and life. When  we look to Jesus, we see hope for peace during our trials.  We also see, how he dealt with the pain and anguish of the cross.  He is our example.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Hebrews records, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)

Today, go to Jesus in prayer and let Him help you with your trouble/trials..
