We Mourn the Loss of James M. Barclift

We mourn with Jim at the loss of James M. Barclift.

James M. Barclift CHESAPEAKE – James Mannon Barclift, 87, passed away Oct. 4, 2011. He is the son of the late James M. and Mattie Banks Barclift. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elsie Barclift and his second wife, Lottie Barclift. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II where he received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Indian River Baptist Church, was a former deacon and retired from HAJOCA after more than 30 years of service. He is survived by his sons, Ronnie and Jim Barclift; grandchildren, Jason Barclift and his wife Kim, Kevin Barclift and his wife Cori, Andrew Barclift and his wife Jasmine and Allison Tinker and her husband Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Elijah and McKenzie Barclift; several stepchildren, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. A service will be held Friday, Oct. 7, at Indian River Baptist Church at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ernie Roebuck officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Indian River Baptist Church.
