Weary

There is an old gospel hymn that begins with these words, “Are you weary? Are you heavy hearted?  During these times of great loss, confinement, and confusion, many are weary and heavy hearted.  Good news, there is help for you and your family.  The old gospel hymn says, “Tell it to Jesus. He is a friend that is well known.”  While the name of Jesus is well known, oftentimes, that is all people know is the name.  He is so much more – He is life, hope and peace during troubled times.  He is the joy giver and the lover of your soul. He will give you rest for your weary soul. His finished work on the cross, gives eternal life to all who will invite Him into their life and let Him live through them.  Some day when death overtakes you and you stand before God, what will you do or say? Who will advocate for you?  Jesus is the advocate for all who trust Him.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Matthew recorded Jesus when He said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)

Today, come to Jesus.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing.

Remember God Loves you and I Do Too.

Jesus is coming – are you ready?
