What Do People Say?

Clearly the Old Testament Prophets and New Testament Apostles believed the Lord is Coming. So, what do people say today and what did they say in the days of Paul, the Apostle?

2 Peter 3:3-  Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Regarding the return of Jesus, I personally have heard people say, they (Christians) have been saying that Jesus is coming again forever and yet things go on as always. Jesus return is as sure as His birth, life, death, and resurrection.  He is coming again, and we have a responsibility to tell others about Him.  God does not want any to perish; however, it is a choice we each must make.  If I baked you a loaf of bread and took it too you, and you never ate it, who would be the loser?  It would not be me because I would have shared the bread out of a loving heart.  You would be the loser because you would have missed the opportunity to have life sustaining bread.  Jesus is the bread of life and you have a choice to receive life from Him or to reject it.

Today, be confident in His coming.  Choose Jesus and receive life. If you have never received Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life, ask Him to come into your heart, forgive you of your sins and receive His new life.

Remember God Loves you and I Do Too.
