Excuses

Has God asked you to do something about which you have made excuses?  Guess what, you are in the company of some of the most famous people of the bible.  When asked by God to go to Egypt and deliver the children of Israel, Moses said, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” Gideon made excuses and then went on to defeat the Midianites. Even though they made excuses, ultimately, they did surrender. What are your excuses?  Be assured that if God, has asked you to do something, it is because He will do that very thing in, for and through you.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Judges records, “The the Lord turned to him and said, ‘Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites.  Have I not sent you?’  So he said to Him, ‘O my Lord, how can I save Israel?  Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.'”  Judges 6:14-15  (NKJV)

Today, give your excuses to the Lord and let Him help you overcome.  You can do it.
