Discouraged
During times of trouble, disaster and distress, the tendency is to become discouraged. That happens when we look at our circumstances. Let me encourage us all to not look at the devastation of Hurricane Harvey; but to look to our God who is our ever present help in time of need.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote,”But, O my soul, don’t be discouraged. Don’t be upset. Expect God to act! For I know that I shall again have plenty of reason to praise him for all that he will do. He is my help! He is my God!” Psalm 42:11 (TLB)
Today, look to God who will help you. Call on Him and watch Him answer your prayers in ways you never expected.
