Strong (Part 4)

Strong (Part 4)

From where do you get your strength?  Paul in his letter to the Ephesians said we are to be strong in the Lord.  He then gave several instructions about how to have that strength.  First it is God’s strength that we have; then we are to put on God’s armour; and then we prepare for the battle by standing in God’s truth wearing the breast plate of righteousness and having our feet walking in the gospel of peace.  After those instructions for the outside, he then tells us what we are to be like on the inside.  He says “Above all we are to use our faith to shield us from the enemy of our souls.

Inspired by the Holy Spirit Paul wrote, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Ephesians 6:10 – 15 (KJV)

Today, get into the word of God, stand strong and exercise your faith.
