Delight
In what do you delight – your family, home, job? I thought I knew what delight meant; however, when I looked it up, I found it means to “please (someone) greatly” or “to take great pleasure.” Who are you pleasing or what gives you pleasure? The Psalmist said we are to delight ourselves in the Lord. We are to please Him and take great pleasure in Him.
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the Psalmist wrote, “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Psalm 27:14 (KJV)
Today, take pleasure in our God, who loves us so much, He gave us His Son so we could be reconciled to Him.
